We collect the least this service can run on. There is no analytics service on the site, no advertising network, and nothing here is sold or passed to a data broker. Your pattern is yours, and as a guest it does not stay on the server at all.

What we collect
Four things, each only while it is needed.
The photograph and the outline
The picture you send, the outline our tracer produces from it, and the DXF, PDF and PLT files built out of that outline.
An email address, if you open an account
Email address and password, nothing else: no name, no postal address, no phone number. The password is kept as a hash, so we cannot read it and cannot hand it to anyone.
Your IP address, short term
Held for a matter of hours to cap how many uploads and sign-in attempts come from one place. That is what keeps the service from being flooded. It is not used to build a profile of you.
One cookie once you sign in
It keeps you signed in and does nothing else. There are no tracking or advertising cookies on this site.
How long it stays
As a guest, the photograph and the result are deleted the moment your archive is downloaded, and anything you never download is removed within an hour. Signed in, your pieces stay in your account so you can download them again, until you delete them or ask us to close the account.
We do keep one working copy of the outline: what our tracer produced, what you corrected, and the photograph behind it. We use it only to make the tracing better. That copy carries no email address and no account behind it, and it is never shared or sold. Write to us and yours comes out of it.
Who else sees any of it
The site runs on a rented server in the United States, and traffic reaches it through Cloudflare, which serves the domain and sees requests and IP addresses the way any network provider does. Past that: no analytics service, no advertising network, no data broker, no sale of data, no sharing for anyone else's marketing.
We do count what happens on our own server, because otherwise we cannot tell whether the thing works: a photograph uploaded, files taken, an account opened. Those lines carry no email address and no name, and they never leave the server.
No payment details are taken anywhere on this site while the demo runs. Nothing here asks for a card.
We do not run a marketing mailing list. An address given at sign-up is there to sign you in and, if it is ever needed, to reach you about your own work.
What you can ask for
Write to the address below and we will do any of these, no reason needed: close your account and delete what is in it, tell you what is held on your account, or take your outlines out of the copies we learn from. One person reads that mailbox, so say plainly which of the three you want.
Children
This is a tool for sewing rooms and workshops, not a service for children, and accounts are not meant for anyone under 13.
